Enrichment Programs

Music

Music is an integral part of our preschool program and each child is exposed to music within his/her classroom as well as a weekly music class with our trained, professional music teacher. Children are exposed to different types of music, instruments and composers as well as musical terms in a fun, active music and movement class. Parents enjoy musical performances throughout the year in which children showcase what they’ve learned in music class.

Chapel

Our bi-monthly chapel time is led by our preschool director and New Life staff who share the Good News through Bible stories, games and songs. Chapel is a time to be reminded that God loves us all, to treat others as you would want to be treated and to love your neighbor as you love yourself.

Library

Reading to children is so important to their development. In order to foster a love for books, all of our preschoolers have a weekly library time in which they may check out a book to take home.

Spanish

Four and five-year-old children attend a weekly Spanish class. It is our hope that through this class children gain an appreciation of other cultures and people different than themselves. Children will be exposed to basic Spanish vocabulary through hands-on games and songs. They will learn to count, colors, greetings, and basic conversational and seasonal vocabulary.

Stay N Play and Lunch N Learn

Stay N Play is a fun extended day option offered on Tuesday afternoons from 12:30-2:00. Children ages three and up and who are completely toilet trained may stay after school and enjoy a time of outdoor play, games, and lunch. Children should bring a peanut-free lunch in a lunch box labeled with their name. The lunch should not require refrigeration or to be microwaved.

Lunch N Learn is a rotating series of after school classes on Wednesdays from 12:30-2:00 offered to children three years and up. Students eat a peanut-free lunch and then move into their activity. Each month in October, November, February, March, and April is a different topic such as cooking, art, soccer, STEAM, and Kids in Motion. Students sign up for a month at a time and JK students may attend from 1:00-2:00 for a prorated amount.

In-House Field Trips

We think it's important to expose children to a wide variety of experiences, so we host in-house field trips each year. Ms. Iz the Science Whiz, the petting zoo, the New Life pumpkin patch, firetruck and police car visits, musicians and puppet shows.....these are just a few of our favorites, but the sky's the limit! Do you have a special talent you'd like to share with our children? We welcome our parents to share too!

Summer Camp

New Life Preschool’s summer camp is a fun way to cap off a great school year! The week after school ends, we host a theme based summer camp Monday through Thursday from 9:30-12:30. The camp is offered to children who are three years and up and who are completely toilet trained. Each summer camp is filled with exciting games, activities, crafts and snacks that center around a fun theme. Sign ups for camp begin in mid-April. We hope your child will join us!
